PSP hotter than Wii in Japan Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review According to the latest sales numbers of video game consoles in Japan the Sony PSP outsells the Nintendo Wii. Of course it is not a fair comparison as the PSP is a portable console and the Wii is a home console, but the Wii outsells the PSP in the U.S. by a huge margin.

According to the Enterbrain sales data the PSP sold 274,131 units in June and the Wii sold 235,990 units. The PSP also outsold the Nintendo DS. Read more

Sony Movement shows are available each fortnight and will be centered on one of five major European cities (Paris, Milan, Munich, London and Barcelona), and there will be eight new video downloads to watch each week – with interviews, performances and footage of the Movement hosts on the road for download.

The game allows players to create a New York City wedding in settings like the Upper East Side to Greenwich Village. In all there are 42 different levels of play and 27 locations in total. Sony PS3 gains on Nintendo Wii Sales in Japan Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review The Sony PS3 console sales are getting closer to the still leading Wii console according to June sales numbers in Japan

Enterbrain reports that Nintendo sold 235,990 Wii consoles in the five weeks ended June 29th, while sales of the Sony PS3 reached 139,494 units.

The Xbox 360 does not count in the Japanese console race in Japan with only 10,964 consoles. Read more

Sony PS3 Firmware 2.40 Update temporarily removed Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Sony has removed the new PS3 Firmware 2.40, because of some PS3 owners reports about bricked PS3 consoles after they installed the update.

Sony says on its Playstation blog that the issue is limited to some users, but they want to make sure what is going on and that is why the pulled the update until the issue is resolved. Read more
