CNet carries a story about some customers of Sony PSPs are having dead pixels on the PSP screen.
After the weekend Sony is responding in this story with suggestions to consumers to try the PSP for one or two weeks. If it is still bothering them, Sony is taking care of it through the 1 year PSP limited warranty (Call Sony at 1-800-345-7669 for instructions).
More details on CNet.
My PSP i got from Japan does not have dead pixels. Dead pixels are a common issue. I got "unlucky" on my IBM X40 Notebook, which has one in the middle of the screen.
