Belkin offers so many different accessories for mobile phones and other gadgets that it's mind-boggling. The company has announced a pair of new charging products for the car called the Micro Auto Charger and Dual Auto Charger.

The Micro Auto Charger is a small device that has no wires hanging out of it. It sits almost completely flush with the power adapter inside your car and has a single USB port allowing any device from the iPhone to GPS that charges from USB to get power. Read more

Belkin Says Turn Off Lights and Surge Protectors for Earth Hour

Belkin is urging computer users to switch off their lights and surge protectors on Saturday March 28 as part of the Earth Hour initiative. By turning off surge protectors standby power can be eliminated. Standby power is the power lost to devices that are not in use, but still drawing power.

According to the US Department of Energy, about 20% of the average homes power usage is phantom power. To help reduce the amount of phantom power loss in your home Belkin has a surge protector that has a wireless remote for turning off outlets. Read more

Belkin Switch-to-Mac Cable Makes Going Mac Easy

Mac sales are booming and Apple has moved up swiftly on the top selling computers chart. That means that there is a higher than ever amount of Windows users changing to Mac computers. As difficult as it can be changing from one Windows machine to another, the move from Windows to Mac is even more nerve racking.

Belkin has announced a new product called the Switch-to-Mac cable that retails for $49.99. The USB cable connects to your Windows machine and the Mac at the same time. A migration assistant will move default folders and applications to default Mac folders and applications and provides a summary of transferred content. The cable is compatible with Windows XP and Vista as well as Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5. Read more

Belkin Announces Cases for new iPod Models

Apple announced new iPod models this week and Belkin has new cases for the iPod's available. For the iPod nano 4G Belkin is offering the Sport Armband Plus with FastFit for $29.99, the same model is available for the 2G touch as well.

Other cases include the Sports Armband for new nano and touch models as well as the 2G classic for $24.99. A clear acrylic case for the 4G nano, touch 2G, and classic 2G is available for $29.99. Users looking for a metal case can get the Remix Metal for the 4G nano and 2G classic for $24.99 to $29.99. Read more

Belkin JoyPod Gaming Pad for Apple iPhone

A leaked slide from Belkin shows an upcoming gaming accessory for the Apple iPhone. The Belkin JoyPod would convert an iPhone into a portable gaming console similar to the Sony PSP.
The Belkin JoyPod would feature 8 gaming buttons and slide over the iPhone from both sides.
The JoyPod would be supported through the iPhone SDK and App store games. Read more

Belkin TuneCast Auto for iPhone 3G

Many iPhone 3G buyers were disappointed to find when their new phones were home and ready to play that many of the accessories that worked with the original iPhone and iPods would not work with the 3G version. This meant that many iPhone 3G owners were left shopping for new accessories.

Belkin has announced that its TuneCast Auto for iPhone and iPod is now compatible with the iPhone 3G. Belkin says that the TuneCast Auto has now passed Apple's "Works with iPhone" program to ensure compatibility. Read more

Belkin Announces Gear for the ASUS Eee

Belkin is busy today with new product announcements. The latest of its new products are some things just for the popular and tiny ASUS Eee netbook. The new stuff includes a corded mouse with a retractable cord that is available now for $14.99.

Belkin also has a wireless travel mouse that has three programmable buttons and can be turned on and off. It retails for $19.99 and only works with Windows or Mac OS so if your Eee is Linux you are probably out of luck. A line of cases for the Eee and other small netbooks was announced as well. Belkin Launches N+ Wireless Router

Belkin has announced its latest wireless router called the N+ Wireless Router. The router is an 802.11n speed device that also supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup. The device is Wi-Fi N draft 2.0 certifies and supports both Mac and Windows OS’.

The router uses a vertical design and has gigabit ports for faster wired speeds. On the front of the router are LEDs that show network speeds at a glance. A USB port on the router allows users to directly connect external hard drives to allow them to be shared on the network. The router will be available in October for $119.99. Read more

Belkin Unveils iPhone 3G Case Line

With this weeks announcement of the iPhone 3G it was only a matter of time until all the cases and accessories for the phone started showing up. Belkin is among the first companies to show its full line of cases for the iPhone 3G.

Belkin has nine cases for the new iPhone in all and some of them are aimed directly at the ladies. One case in particular is a diamond like patter in pink. Other cases include silicone covers and leather cases along with polycarbonate cases as well. Read more

For years now Belkin has offered dedicated gamepads for PC gamers who like FPS titles and the last product in the line was the Nostromo n52. Today Belkin announced a replacement to the n52 called the n52te aimed at the FPS, MMORPG, and RTS crowd.
