Kingston SSDNow V-Series 30GB Solid State Boot Drive Review
Thinkcomputers published a Kingston SSDNow V-Series 30GB Solid State Boot Drive Review.
Quote from review: “Upgrading from a normal hard drive to a solid state drive can be quite expensive and for most people it really does not make that much sense. Solid state capacities are getting larger, but that just brings the price of the drives up even higher. Kingston wants to help people out who want to take advantage of the blazing speeds of solid state drives, but don’t want to break the bank. They have just released the SSDNow V-Series 30GB solid state boot drive. This drive will retail at around $100 and will allow you to load your operating system and applications on it for fast load times, and then you can just put all of your media on a normal SATA drive. This is a great upgrade option for people looking to get a solid state drive, but might not have that much extra money for one." Read more

ViewSonic ViewBook Pro VNB131S 13.3-inch Notebook Review
Tweaktown published a ViewSonic ViewBook Pro VNB131S 13.3-inch Notebook Review.
Quote from review: "ViewSonic is most known for its range of TVs, PC displays and digital picture frames. The company has been making all sorts of computer displays for years now and has just started branching out into the notebook arena. Interestingly, the ViewSonic ViewBook Pro at first glance doesn't look like a freshman offering.
In fact, if you look at the ViewSonic ViewBook Pro too quickly, you might actually mistake the thing for an Apple MacBook Pro. The minimalist design, silver on black colors and elegant looks of the machine certainly appeal to the same senses that draw many to the MacBook line." Read more

Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad Review
Today I am looking at the Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad. The cooling pad has a USB powered fan and a special design that lets the single fan cool as well as some dual fan devices.
The Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad is available in white or black and sells for under $30. The design is thin enough that it can be taken on the road inside most laptop bags. Read more

Shinobii Xcross Remote for Nintendo Wii Review
If you are looking for a new controller remote for your Wii console, but are tired of the factory white Wii controllers you might be interested in the black Shinobii Xcross Remote I am checking out today. The controller has a wider than normal D-Pad for better control.
The thing works well and the only real downside is the price. You can buy the factory Wii controller for a bit less than the Xcross sells for. Read more

LaCie Network Space 2 Review
Digital Trends published a LaCie Network Space 2 Review
Quote from review: "Of all the tech appliances you might want to prominently display, a mundane network attached storage device probably falls about 78th on most people s lists, right after VoIP desk phones and before network switches. LaCie s Network Space 2 may change that. The attractive 1TB NAS sports an exterior design as clean and intuitive as the software that runs it. As we found out, it s also just as basic as its shape but entry-level consumers might not mind the lack of high-end features or Formula One performance." Read more

Motorola Devour Review
Digital Trends did a Motorola Devour Review.
Quote from review: "For social networking addicts, there s no better cellphone interface than Motoblur. Motorola s innovative Android overlay aggregates all your social media accounts, and delivers the latest messages and information updates via what looks like comic book quote balloons conveniently splayed across the phone s home screen. Previously available only on the Motorola Cliq from T-Mobile, Motoblur now comes to Verizon on the Motorola Devour, a sleek-if-bulky new Android phone encased in luxurious extruded aluminum. Motoblur, matched with a capacious four-line slide-out QWERTY keyboard, makes Devour arguably the easiest way to stay in touch without talking, and offers an overall attractive package of features and functions. But how does Devour match up with Verizon s other Android phones, the similar Droid and the HTC Eris?" Read more

Synology DiskStation DS210j NAS Review

Today I will be reviewing one of their newer products, the “DiskStation DS210j” which is primarily intended for use in home networks. This product really has o ton of interesting specifications which are available at their website.
The specifications of the DS210j are doubtless impressive but the really interesting thing about this NAS is the accompanied control software which enables all the extra features. We will go into that more extensively later in the review…” Read more

Quote from review: “ADATA is a company that is new to us, but is a well established company in the east, making their way west. Watch in this video review as I actually beat this drive on a table a few times and then run it through a gauntlet of tests. This new S596 SSD is a very fast drive and can hold its own agains't the competition. ASUS RoG Maximus III Extreme LGA 1156 motherboard review
Hardware Canucks published an ASUS RoG Maximus III Extreme LGA 1156 motherboard review.
Quote from review: “ASUS has long been known for their Republic of Gamers series of motherboards and while they have products already in place for both of Intel’s P55 and X58 platforms, they felt it was time to take things to the next level. The Maximus III Extreme follows closely in the footsteps of the original Maximus III Formula but adds a bevy of new features that are sure to make enthusiasts go weak in the knees.” Read more

ASUS P6X58D Premium Motherboard Review
Motherboards published an ASUS P6X58D Premium Motherboard Review.
Quote from review: “ASUS has taken the successful X58 chipset and added features like support for the next generation Intel 6-core CPUs, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0 and more to their X58 lineup. These results in the most feature-rich motherboard on the X58 platform I have ever seen. Performance is as to be expected from a high-end board like this one and the layout of the motherboard is excellent. ASUS offers excellent support through their website and has a Support telephone system as well. This board earns a solid Editor’s Choice due to all of the features this board supports and the overclocking capability of the board is excellent as well.” Read more

OCZ Vertex Limited Edition 100GB Review
TechSpot published an OCZ Vertex Limited Edition 100GB Review.
Quote from review: “Roughly a month ago we brought you an early preview of the OCZ Vertex 2 Pro SSD. This uber-fast product was supposed to be part of a new series of drives based on controllers from start-up SandForce. However, as we recently learned OCZ decided to scrap the Vertex 2 Pro altogether due to the high cost of its SF-1500 controller, and instead shift focus to the originally announced Vertex 2 and Vertex 2 EX.
This is exactly where the Vertex LE we are reviewing today comes in. Initially it was said OCZ was using an early batch of SF-1500 controllers that they received at a discount rate from SandForce, but now they are claiming the Vertex LE SSDs carries a hybrid model that is neither a 1200 nor a 1500. Dell Inspiron Zino HD Desktop Review
Hothardware published a Dell Inspiron Zino HD Desktop Review.
Quote from that review: “For the last couple of years, Dell's foray into the small-form-factor desktop market was its successful mini-tower (with the emphasis on "mini") Studio Hybrid. But with Dell's latest small-form-factor entry, the Inspiron Zino HD, out goes the vertical mini-tower and in comes the horizontal square--7.8-inches wide by 7.8-inches deep to be exact, and a mere 3.4-inches tall. Like the Studio Hybrid (which Dell still sells), the Inspiron Zino HD (a.k.a. the Inspiron 400) is a solid little machine, with decent mainstream performance, and geared towards budget-minded consumers. Similar to how you could change the Studio Hybrid's looks by swapping out different-colored sleeves, the Inspiron Zino HD can switch personality with the snap of new color or pattern lid. Of course, other than the default "Piano Black" lid, you'll have to pay extra for any of the Inspiron Zino HD's other color ($15 each) or pattern ($30) lids. And with a starting price of $249, the Inspiron Zino HD can give any number of nettop PCs a run for their money...” Read more

Olympus E-PL1 camera review
Photographyblog published an Olympus E-PL1 camera review.
Quote from review: “Small cameras with big sensors are set to be the future of photography - at least, that's what Olympus think as they introduce the E-PL1, their brand new PEN camera for the mass-market. Cheaper, smaller, lighter and easier to use than most rival models, the Olympus E-PL1 is firmly aimed at frustrated compact camera owners who crave more control and better results, but who are put off by bulky and complicated DSLRs. The full-featured E-PL1 should also appeal to experienced prosumers looking for a cheaper way into Micro Four Thirds. Read the World's first online Olympus E-PL1 review to find out if it strikes the right balance between affordability and functionality.” Read more

Quote from review: “Just over two years ago there were only five companies involved in Solid State Drive technology, and as of January 2010 there are nearly 140 names in the business. Without doubt, the SSD market has enjoyed a powerful growth period with relatively painless consumer acceptance. Benchmark Reviews has been on top of the SSD scene since retail products were first introduced at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show. Based on the Marvell 88SS9174-BJP2 SSD processor, the Crucial RealSSD-C300 becomes the industry's first SATA-6G consumer Solid State Drive.
