Canon EOS 50D Review
The PhotographyBlog published a review of the new Canon EOS 50D SLR camera. The Canon 50D is one of our Top 100 Holiday Gift Tips for 2008.
The Canon 50D sports a high resolution of 15.1MP amongst other great features.
Quote from the review: "The Canon EOS 50D is outwardly almost identical to its predecessor, the EOS 40D, having the same dimensions (145.5 x 107.8 x 73.5mm), and weighing 10g less at 730g without a lens fitted. Where cheaper entry-level DSLR cameras use plastics, the 50D has a magnesium alloy body which should make it more durable in the long term. The finish seems tough and resilient too, and the memory card and battery doors are dust and moisture resistant, making the 50D potentially better suited to hostile environments, whether they're encountered on a photo shoot in the Himalayas or a trip to the seaside. There's a textured area on both the deep hand-grip and around the thumb-rest on the rear of the camera, and unlike the cheaper 450D and 1000D models, this camera is perfect for everyone with normal to large-sized hands.

Samsung PN50A450 Review
Our review partner Digital Trends tested the Samsung PN50A450 Plasma HDTV.
Quote from the review: "Big doesn't have to mean expensive. Although the high-end 1080p resolution has become the de facto standard for most HDTV buyers as prices have fallen, Samsung's PN50A450 plasma-screen TV cuts resolution down to 720p in order to offer more screen real estate for the buck.

Blogs and Product Reviews Significantly Influence Mobile Buyers says Report
A new report from ad-ology shows that 60.5% of consumers who recently purchased a mobile phone said that online product reviews and user comments weighed significantly in their buying decisions. The reports show that 30% of people felt that blogs had the same level of influence on buying decisions.
Key findings showed that buyers likely to rate online blogs and reviews highly tended to be 18 to 34 year olds with higher than average incomes. 26.3% of buyers said they prefer to buy online rather than in a store. The price of the phone isn't as important to most buyers as the phone quality and the quality of the mobile network. Read more

JVC Everio GZ-HD40 120GB Camcorder Review
Our review partner Digital Trends tested the JVC Everio GZ-HD40 digital camcorder and published a review.
Quote from the review: "The inexorable march away from tapes and discs has picked up steam in Camcorder Land-and this trend will continue until MiniDV and DVD home video makers take their place on the obsolete shelf next to Walkman cassette music players and analog televisions.
This won't happen overnight, but it's happening right in front of our eyes as flash-based and hard disk drive camcorders win-over the public and take share from competing formats. Basically, it's the iPod Phenomenon dramatically reshaping the camcorder biz.
According to industry execs, tape and DVD cam sales are dropping while the new-and definitely cooler-formats take over. Almost all of the recent releases were memory card, flash or HDD based. And many of them are high-definition. I'm a big fan of high-def hard drive camcorders because their storage capabilities can't be beat. It's great not worrying if you have enough blank tape or DVDs for saving memories. And the small size and weight of flash-based models is also a winner.

Quote from the review: "What can I say? This game rocked. Every single aspect of the game was impressive. The sound was great (awesome crashing effects and a kicking soundtrack), the graphics were just phenomenal from every single aspect and perspective. Roku Netflix Player Review
The TechLounge published a review of the Roku Netflix Player.
Quote from the review: "It's clear that the shortcomings are all Netflix-based, the greatest of all being selection. They don't have a lot of recent content, and they have a lot of content rated three stars and worse. Often with TV shows, they will have some but not all episodes of a season. But they're adding things constantly, and generally expanding as fast as they can afford to. By the time I thought I'd watched everything I thought was worth my time, I checked again and found an equal quantity of media gems. (Like Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter.
