Gorillapod Focus Tripod for Big Cameras

Joby announced a version of its popular Gorillapod tripod that is designed for DSLR and larger video cameras. The Gorillapod Focus is aimed at both pro and amateur photographers. The tripod weighs 1.1 pounds and can support cameras up to 11 pounds.

It ships with a 1/4-20 thread universal camera screw and a 3.8-inch adapter for ball heads. The flexible design allows the tripod to be wrapped around a tree limb and used in other unorthodox situations. Read more

Memorex has a new iPod boombox for the ladies called the miniMove. Guys who don’t mind that the boombox looks like a purse can get the miniMove in silver as well. The system can be powered by batteries or AC power.

The iPod is charged while docked and a digital FM tuner is built-in. Other features include a LCD backlit screen, EQ presets, and the ability to connect non-iPod devices with a line in jack. Read more

Macally has announced new cases for the recently announced iPod touch and nano models. The cases include the IceSuit available in a variety of bright colors for $19.99. Bella is a stitched leather case for the nano for $19.99.

The mSuit is a thick silicon case with a protective screen overlay for $19.99; Metro is a hard-shell case for the nano that also retails for $19.99. The same cases are available for the iPod touch at the same $19.99 price per case. Read more

Sony has introduced new alarm clocks that offer support for the iPod and iPhone from Apple. The new clocks include the CD clock radio ICF-CD3iP, a table top HD Radio with iTunes tagging XDR-S10HDiP, and a docking speaker SRS0GU10iP. All of the new devices are Made for iPod and Works with iPhone certified.

The ICF-CD3iP can wake you to CD or tracks from your iPod and includes a remote control. Sony's XDR-S10HDiP has a HD Tuner built-in and offers the ability to tag songs from the radio for purchase on your iPod later. Read more
